Dangerous smoke warning as firefighters control Osborne Park warehouse fire

A warehouse fire that caused damage to an industrial estate in Perth on Friday night has been brought under control.
A business that appeared to be a large auto repair shop in Osborne Park caught fire around 5:40 p.m.
Black smoke was billowing from the building near the intersection of Howe and King Edward Street.
At least five fire trucks arrived at the scene as firefighters entered the building with hoses.
The fire was brought under control around 20:00.
The fire closed a large portion of Howe and O’Malley streets, prompting police to close the roads.
People had previously been warned that smoke billowing towards Stephenson Avenue could be potentially dangerous due to the warehouse containing hazardous materials.
People in the area were urged to stay away from the smoke and keep windows and doors closed.
The area is now completely clear with firefighters still on site cleaning up.
