Defence procurement board clears 114 Rafale jets in biggest ever deal

India’s Defense procurement board on Friday approved the purchase of 114 additional Rafale fighter jets, making it one of the country’s largest ever fighter jet deals.

The proposal will then be presented to the Defense Acquisition Council and then sent to the Cabinet Committee on Security for final approval.

This permission, as reported earlier, follows talks within the Ministry of Defense to take forward a deal with France estimated to be worth around Rs 3.25 lakh crore. MOMENT.
According to the plan, the majority of the aircraft will be produced in India and domestic components will constitute approximately 30% of the total content, giving impetus to domestic defense production.
