Deliberately Defective Suit Filed on Banakacharla: Harish

Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Monday severely criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his alleged failure to file an effective case in the Supreme Court to stop the state government from going ahead with Andhra Pradesh’s Godavari-Banakacharla link project.

Harish Rao said at a press conference in Sangareddy: “A deliberately defective case regarding AP’s Banakacharla project was filed by Telangana in the Supreme Court: “Today, Revanth Reddy has been exposed for his insincerity towards protecting the interests of Telangana. Revanth Reddy is focused on paying back his ‘guru dakshina’ to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu rather than protecting the interests of Telangana.”

Harish Rao said, “The Supreme Court has condemned the state government for filing a flawed case. How can a case filed by the state government contain so many flaws? Why has a flawed case been filed? What are the attorney general and the government’s lawyers doing?” he asked.

He said Monday’s development was proof that Revanth Reddy was colluding with Naidu. Harish Rao said, “The sole focus of the Congress government is to criticize the BRS. It does not protect the water interests of Telangana. The Revanth Reddy government acted as if it wanted to stop the project without actually stopping it.” Revanth Reddy is not only betraying the Telangana movement, he is also betraying the water interests of Telangana.”
