Dolly Parton cancels Las Vegas residency over health issues: ‘I’ve still got some healing to do’ | Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton has canceled her Las Vegas residency due to ongoing health issues.
The 80-year-old singer was scheduled to perform six shows at Caesar’s Palace last December, but the dates were postponed until September 2026. He has now announced on social media that he will not be able to perform as planned.
One Instagram videoParton said she is “responding really well to medications and treatments” and “getting better every day” but that “it’s going to take a while for me to get to the level of stage performance.”
Parton said medications and treatments made her “adrift” and that she “can’t get dizzy carrying banjos, guitars and stuff in 5-inch heels.”
He added: “But think of me as an old classic car that, when restored, could be better than ever.”
Parton said the September dates may be canceled for now, adding that she’s still working, including making videos and running “up and down Dollywood every now and then.” While he works on the Broadway musical, he also aims to open his museum and hotel in Nashville later this year.
“I have great doctors and I’m doing really well and they’re assuring me that everything I have is treatable, so I’m just going with it,” he said.
Parton also captioned the video: “Thank you for standing by me and showing me so much love and support over the past year. I still need to heal, but I’m on my way! See you soon.”
Last October, Parton took to social media to dispel rumors that her health was deteriorating. Later, Jean Hersholt was forced to withdraw from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Governors’ awards in November, where he was to receive the humanitarian award.
Parton before discussed Kidney stone problems that he mentioned again in the last video. Her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Thomas Dean, also died last year at the age of 82.
The star made her public appearance in March this year, giving a keynote speech at the Dollywood theme park.
In April, Parton topped the list of the most positive global figures in a YouGov poll, surpassing Barack Obama and Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
