Donald Trump ‘falls asleep’ as his ‘face droops’ in worrying conference | World | News

US President Donald Trump was accused of falling asleep during a press conference on Monday when he claimed other viewers saw his face “droopy”. X user Aaron Rupar posted a video of Trump’s face and “struggling to keep his eyes open” while hosting the Small Business Summit at the White House.

In the video, Kelly Loeffler, the next head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), stands as she speaks at the conference. The clip quickly gained traction online as critics seized on the moment to question the president’s energy levels during the event. “Three more years of this and imagine what the US will look like in 2028,” one user wrote. Another said: “He looks bored and would rather play golf.” Others were more blunt and shared: “TF who falls asleep standing up?”. One person claimed he was “too old and sick to be in the White House.”

Another user also drew attention to the President’s hands, saying, “There is make-up on both of his little hands today,” after the US leader was repeatedly seen with bruises on his hands.

The observations come amid ongoing scrutiny of the president’s health and stamina, a recurring theme throughout his political career.

In the past, Trump and his team have repeatedly insisted that he is in good health.

POTUS has previously denied such claims, insisting that he previously “acced” three cognitive tests and dismissed suggestions that he may have Alzheimer’s disease.

The president kicked off 2026 by claiming that White House doctors gave him another clean bill of health.

“The White House Doctors just reported that I am in ‘PERFECT HEALTH’ and for the third year in a row I have an ‘ACED’ (meaning correct on 100% of the questions asked!), a Cognitive Exam that no other President or previous Vice President has been willing to take,” he wrote on Truth Social.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also told reporters that Donald Trump’s MRI results were “perfectly normal” amid questions from Democrats about the president’s health.

The US Secret Service has confirmed that an officer-involved shooting occurred near the Washington Monument following a confrontation with a gunman.

One person was shot by law enforcement, although their condition has not yet been confirmed.

While security intervened, journalists in the White House were taken inside as a precaution.

Minister Donald Trump continued his planned activity indoors with no apparent interruption.
