Andrew to face no further action over claims he demanded information on Virginia Giuffre | Royal | News

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will not face further charges over allegations he asked an officer for information about accuser and Jeffrey Epstein trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre. The allegations first came to light in October, when reports revealed by the Mail on Sunday claimed the former Duke of York had given his protection officer Ms Giuffre’s date of birth and social security number in a bid to obtain more information about his accuser.
The incident is thought to have occurred shortly before the photo of the former prince and Virginia Giuffre was published. But now the Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the investigation “did not uncover any additional evidence of criminal conduct or misconduct”.
A spokesman added: “The Met is committed to thoroughly considering any new information that may be helpful in this regard.
“To date, we have not received any additional evidence to support reopening the investigation. Unless there is more information, we will not take further action.
“As with any other matter, if new and relevant information is brought to our attention, including information arising from material disclosed in the United States, we will consider it.”
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied all allegations against him.
Ms Giruffre claimed she was forced to have sex with King Charles’ younger brother on several occasions, including at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London home when she was 17.
The news came as Mr Mountbatten-Windsor attended his grandson’s christening in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace on Friday morning; this was his first royal event since he was stripped of his title as prince.
The former prince avoided the media by sneaking through a side door in his green Range Rover.
In addition to being stripped of his royal titles for his relationship with Epstein, Andrew will also be evicted from the Royal Lodge.
It is believed there is a significant amount of time left before he must hand over the keys, with the deadline set for October 2026, and it is hoped the King’s brother will leave the 30-room mansion quietly and without fuss.
His arrival was the day the former prince was pictured in several photos added to the Epstein files by Democrats.
The photos include Andrew photographed with names such as Jeffrey Epstein, Melania Trump and Bill Gates.
