Elderly man mistakenly kidnapped from North Ryde: police
NSW Police are appealing for help to locate an elderly man believed to have been mistakenly abducted from his home in Sydney’s north yesterday.
Just after 5am on Friday, police received a tip-off from neighbors of Mr Baghsarian, 85, who saw him abducted from his home in North Ryde.
Detective A/Inspector Andrew Marks said there were signs of forced entry into the home and reported Baghsarian was placed in a dark-coloured Toyota SUV by up to three men.
The vehicle was found burned near his home.
“They got the wrong person,” Marks said. “The family is concerned and they are not involved in any criminal activity and just want their father to return safely.”
The man’s family are assisting police with their inquiries and have appealed for anyone with information about his whereabouts to get in touch. Crime Stoppers At 1800 333 000.
