‘I’m a lot more human now and I’ve already done that, so I’m much better equipped to get back into that mindset this time.’

Speaking about the album’s title track, Ellie added: ‘It’s probably the most honest song I’ve ever written.

‘Whatever. I know too much. It’s unrelated, but it’s also kind of a commentary on my life and music so far.

‘I couldn’t think of a more appropriate title for everything I sing. I know too much. Too much.”

The star has previously mentioned that her new record is a ‘divorce album’, and she wrote many of the tracks herself during her split from ex-husband Caspar in 2024.

Last year she said: ‘When I married my ex-husband I thought it would last a lifetime. This will never disappear and will always stay with me. There are some songs that were necessary for me to accept and respect that period of my life…

‘There were also some songs that were extremely reactionary and sad, which I thought were good to do at the time but didn’t work for me in the long run.’

Elaborating on the idea of ​​a ‘divorce album’, she said: ‘I asked my friends about this. I sent them a folder of songs and said, ‘What do you think?’ I asked. I trust my friends and they are true music lovers…

‘One person said, ‘Wow, this is a divorce album.’ And then most of the others said, “It feels like you’re a new woman. It feels like growing and reinventing. It doesn’t feel like a divorce.”

Ellie and Caspar finalized their divorce in January last year and the two are on good terms as they co-parent Arthur.

Caspar has moved on with actress Olivia Wilde, 42, and the pair were spotted spending a romantic Valentine’s Day weekend in Mexico City in February.
