Disturbing footage allegedly shows brutal Geelong teen gang attack in city laneway

A 14-year-old boy was allegedly brutally attacked by a group of teenagers in a Geelong alley on Wednesday.
The disturbing footage allegedly shows the boy being dragged down an alley off James Street and repeatedly kicked, punched and slapped by five other teenagers, while the sixth boy stood guard at the entrance.
At one point, a glass bottle allegedly broke over his head as the teens ordered him to kiss a shoe while slapping him in the face and making taunts like “take it like a man,” “lick my foot” and “get on your knees.”
Inspector Clare Murphy said it was “incredibly cowardly behavior” and “disgusting”.
He described the incident as particularly disturbing due to the age of those involved and the brutality of their actions.
Police arrested three 14-year-old boys in connection with the attack.
They will be interviewed by investigators as officers continue to identify other youths involved.
“We know who they are, we will apprehend them and bring them before a magistrate or through the appropriate process of justice,” Inspector Murphy said.

The attack has reignited concerns among Geelong CBD traders about safety in the heart of the city.
A cafe owner who was nearly stabbed last week said he was “fed up” with the ongoing violence.
Police confirmed that the two boys and the victim were spoken to at the scene but no one wanted to give a statement.
The investigation is still ongoing.
