Free Bus Travel In Andhra For Girls, Women, Transgenders From Aug 15

Amaravati: All girls, women and transsexual people holding the Andhra Pradesh residence are suitable for free bus ride under the ‘Stree Shaktı’ (Women’s Power) program, which will be launched on August 15th.
“Utilitors contain all girls, women and transsexual people who are subject to providing evidence of identity in Andhra Pradesh.” He said.
He added that the program will be applied by using the current fleet of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) and additional buses will be provided according to demand. Free travel is only valid for Pallevelugu, Ultra Pallevelugu, City ordinary, Metro Express and Express services.
It does not cover uninterrupted services, inter -state operations, contract cars, leased services or package tours. Authorized, Saptagiri Express, Ultra Deluxe, Super Luxury, Star Liner and all air -conditioned services are excluded, he said.
For passenger safety, the government is considering equipping staff with cameras worn on the body and installing CCTV cameras on all buses.
Bus stations will see upgraded opportunities such as fans, chairs, drinking water and toilets.
Dande said that the supply of electric buses and the expansion of the plan to them can also be considered subject to cabinet approval.
Utilitors will receive zero -headed tickets that the APSRTC will offer to the government for reimbursement.
Free bus travel for women was the promise of a poll in the TDP leadership before the 2024 elections.
Minister K Parthasarathy is estimated to have a cost of approximately 162 crore per month to 1,942 RS per year, and aims to strengthen women by improving access to work and mobility.
