UK orders hunt for any evidence that Epstein used Royal Air Force bases for sex trafficking

John Healey has ordered a review of military files to find any evidence that Jeffrey Epstein used Royal Air Force (RAF) bases to smuggle women and girls into the UK.
The defense secretary has tasked officials with combing through more than two decades of Ministry of Defense (MoD) records and handing over to police all flight records linked to the late pedophile financier.
The revelation came after former prime minister Gordon Brown wrote to six police forces demanding an investigation into whether Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor used taxpayer-funded jets and RAF bases to meet with Epstein during his time as trade envoy.
Andrew and former British ambassador to Washington Lord Peter Mandelson were arrested and released on bail earlier this month over their alleged links to the convicted sex offender.
A Ministry of Defense spokesman said: “The Secretary of State for Defense has ordered a review of all records the department may hold relating to Epstein flights landing at RAF bases to ensure that any information relating to Epstein’s crimes is uncovered and passed on to the relevant authorities.
“The MoD will support any civil police investigation.
“Our thoughts are with all the victims of Epstein’s heinous crimes.”
It is understood that it is not uncommon for spare capacity at RAF airfields to be used for private jets and private customers are charged fees to cover all costs.
Such use is only approved if it does not interfere with the security or proper functioning of the airport.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on Wednesday sidestepped calls for a public inquiry into Epstein and his possible use of British airports, saying any police investigation should first go his way.
