A 14-year-old girl has been charged with three counts of attempted murder in connection with a triple stabbing at a Blackley high school.
Following permission from the Crown Prosecution Service, the teenager was charged on Thursday, June 11, with three counts of attempted murder and two counts of possessing a bladed instrument on school premises. Manchester Evening News reports.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 12.

Det Chief Supt Jonathan Chadwick, head of north west counter-terrorism policing, said: “These are extremely serious allegations against a young girl and we continue to support victims and their families, working closely with Greater Manchester Police and offer support to the wider school community who are deeply affected by what happened.
“Although charges have now been secured, our investigation is still ongoing and we continue to work with our local police colleagues in the Blackley area.”
