Government Schools Poised to Deliver Better Results: NTR District Collector

vijayawada: NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshmisha on Thursday asked parents to enroll their children in government schools as public educational institutions now provide quality education with modern infrastructure and learning opportunities at par with private schools.

The collector, who inaugurated the Education Fair organized by the district education department at the collectorate building, said that NTR district aims to surpass last year’s academic performance and has prepared a special action plan for the current academic year.

Speaking to the media later, Dr. Lakshmisha said teachers and education department officials had worked hard to identify and nurture student talents throughout the previous academic year, resulting in encouraging results. He explained that government schools have been strengthened through modern teaching methods, advanced infrastructure, skill development programs and technology-based learning.

The Education Fair was held at Kolektif to raise awareness among parents about the facilities, educational opportunities and achievements of public schools. The exhibition showcased infrastructure development, academic performance, value-based education, skill development initiatives and technology-enabled learning practices implemented across the region.

The collector said teachers and education authorities are working in coordination to ensure holistic development of students and improve learning outcomes. He emphasized the importance of parental involvement and public support in strengthening public education.

Referring to last year’s SSC results, Dr. Lakshmisha said 31 students from government high schools in the district scored more than 580 marks. He attributed the success to the initiatives taken by the state government and the School Education department.

The Collector congratulated the education authorities, teachers, principals and parents for their contribution. He expressed confidence that public schools will achieve even better results in the coming years.
