“He is 84 years old. His health and heart are fragile. He lives in constant pain. He has no medication. He needs medication to survive and he needs it to avoid pain,” Guthrie said.
“We also heard the news about the ransom letter in the media. We are doing our best as a family. We are ready to talk,” he said. “But we live in a world where sounds and images are easily manipulated. We need to know without a doubt that he is alive and you have him. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen.”
Nancy Guthrie was last seen by her family at her home near Tucson, Arizona, on Saturday night and was reported missing the next afternoon after a family member received a call from a member of her church saying she was not there.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said he couldn’t rule out foul play.
