Hillary Clinton Clashes Onstage With Czech Foreign Minister Over Trump: ‘I Think You Just Really Don’t Like Him’
Hillary Clinton had harsh words for Donald Trump during a heated confrontation with Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka while the two were on stage together at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
“He betrayed the West,” Clinton said of Trump. “He betrayed human values. He betrayed the NATO charter, the Atlantic charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. A lot has been done before to understand how difficult it is to restrain people who want unaccountable power. And none of us in this room, including all of us on this panel, would choose to live under a regime so irresponsible that it can act with impunity, as Putin does. Except for the person Trump models himself on.”
When Macinka was later asked if he believed Trump’s actions in Ukraine were causing any problems for the Western Hemisphere, Macinka chose to turn the focus back to Clinton.
“First of all, I think you really don’t like him,” Macinka said to Clinton, who accepted the explanation and responded: “I know that’s absolutely true, but really, not only do I dislike him, I dislike him for what he’s done to the United States and the world.”
He added: “And if you think anything good will come of this, you should take a good look at it.”
“I think what Trump did in America, I think it’s a reaction,” Macinka said. “Reaction, reaction, reaction to something that has really gone too far for some policies, gone too far from ordinary people,” and then added: “I don’t participate in gender revolution, I don’t participate in climate alarmism.”
“Which gender, do women have rights?” Clinton intervened.
“I think there are two genders, but some of us think there’s more than one, or even more than two, sorry, there’s more than two genders. I think there’s male and female, the rest is probably a social construct. So that’s going too far,” he replied.
“But does that justify selling out the Ukrainian people who died on the front lines to save their freedom and their gender? Is that what you’re worried about?” Clinton responded.
