Electric carmaker Tesla to expand supercharging network in India

American electric car manufacturer Tesla said on Friday, April 24, 2026, that it will expand its charging network, including superchargers, across major hubs in India to speed up its journey in the country.
The company, which launched the Model Y in its much-awaited entry into India, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, launched its second model, the three-row six-seater SUV Model YL, priced at 61.99 lakh and is also intensifying the expansion of its charging network to address customers’ range anxiety.
“We already have five supercharging stations in India that we have built according to the lifestyle of our customers where they go to work, shop, dine and travel,” Tesla India Managing Director Sharad Agarwal told reporters in New Delhi.
