Honda CB500 launch: Check price, engine, top speed, features and other details
The product range covers multiple segments including cruisers, adventure tourers, roadsters, lifestyle motorcycles, electric mobility and flex-fuel vehicles. HMSI said the localization of these models enhances product development, engineering and manufacturing capabilities in India while bringing Honda’s global technologies to a broader customer base.
The new portfolio includes the Honda ADV 160 adventure scooter, Honda CB500 roadster, Honda CB350 series, Honda Rebel 300, Honda Rebel 500, Honda XR300L, Honda XR300 Rally and Honda QC3 electric scooter.
Honda CB500: Engine and performance
The Honda CB500 is powered by a 501 cc engine that delivers 20.7 kW of power and 43.3 Nm of torque. Honda says the motorcycle combines classic roadster character with retro-sporty design, powerful driving performance and everyday practicality.
Honda CB500: Features
The CB500 is equipped with assist and slipper clutch, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Honda RoadSync linkage and gas-charged rear suspension. Certain models in the new portfolio will also feature Honda E-Clutch technology, which automatically manages the clutch operation to facilitate driving, especially in heavy traffic and stop-and-go conditions.
Honda CB500: Variants
The motorcycle will be available in three different versions:
- Alloy
- tubeless spoke
- Tubeless Spoke with Graphics
According to Honda, the CB500 expands its Made in India premium motorcycle portfolio while offering customers more options in the mid-capacity roadster segment.
Honda CB500: Price
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is yet to announce the price of the CB500. Pricing details are expected to be announced closer to the launch of the motorcycle.
HMSI said increased localization of the CB500 and other models in its new portfolio will strengthen India’s position as a key hub in Honda’s global manufacturing network while strengthening local sourcing and manufacturing capabilities.
