This wasn’t the only Britpop anthem inspired by Salah to be rewritten that season; London band Dodgy’s Good Enough provided the melody for the terrace hymn, which the actor called “something special”. Acknowledging Salah’s pride in his Muslim identity, fans sing: “If he’s good enough for you, he’s good enough for me, if he gets a few more points I’ll be a Muslim too, if he’s good enough for you, he’s good enough for me, he’s sitting in the mosque, I want to be there too.”
