Hugh Laurie apologizes for roasting ‘House critic,’ admits he was drunk

Hugh Laurie admitted he was “a little drunk” after angering a “House” critic on social media.

On Monday, British journalist Janet Murray uploaded a screenshot of an article she wrote for UnHerd titled “What I learned from my online fight with Hugh Laurie.” The whole online fiasco started when Murray penned a review for “House,” on which Laurie starred from 2004 to 2012.

Murray wrote in x He said on Monday that his response to Laurie’s criticism had led to “some pretty egregious trolling.” Laurie apologized at length chirp.

“I’m sorry that people attacked you because of my tweet. That wasn’t the plan at all. I was a little drunk and upset about something that had nothing to do with you anyway,” he began.

“If it’s any consolation, I have a neck too. I’m a thin-skinned t-t, apparently, even though it’s not my own skin. I was defending writers I admire. Frankly, I shouldn’t have quoted Bach/Kahlo/Moore to ask for trouble, and I’d have been better off with 10,000 blues songs written around the same 12-bar chord structure.”

I’ve listened to most of them and will continue to listen. Because we love what we love,” concluded Laurie.

“Thank you. ‘Try’ is probably an understatement,” Murray responded. He accepted their apologies and signed off on the call, saying he had “no hard feelings.”

Murray and Laurie’s online discussion began on June 6. Murray discussed X and shared his thoughts on season 1 of “House.”

Eight seasons of this?” he wrote In X.

Laurie wrote back: “Thanks for your review, Janet. We actually tried a few episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the parentheses in the correct place) got it right the first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC wasn’t happy. Then we tried some episodes where House never got it right and the patient died. The audience wasn’t happy.”

The two went back and forth online for days until it became clear that their differences had been resolved.
