2 Held in Hyderabad for Selling Chinese Manja

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police arrested two persons for selling banned glass-coated nylon Chinese manja coils under Rein Bazar police station limits, near Murtuza Chaman in Yakutpura.

It was stated that those arrested were Hüseyin Agha from Yakutpura and Syed Saddiq Hussain Jaffery from Edi Bazar. Another person Ramzan escapes from Mumbai. Mono Gold 191 coil banned glass-coated nylon Chinese manja was seized from the possession of the arrested persons.

The accused were selling Chinese manja for Rs 1,000 per coil and making easy money by generating illegal profits. In order to protect birds and human life, the government has banned the supply, stocking, sale and use of Chinese manja for kite flying.

The ban was declared in January 2016 under Section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act 1986. According to Task Force Commissioner of Police Additional Deputy Commissioner Ande Srinivasa Rao, any person found violating the order will be punished with imprisonment up to five years or fine up to Rs.1 lakh rupees or both.
