India successfully tested Prithvi-II and Agni-ı ballistic missiles, which exhibited the increasing defense power after the latest military tensions with Pakistan.
India’s prithVI-II and agni-ı missiles Chandipur was tested from Odisha
According to a statement published by the Ministry of Defense, India successfully tested two of the short -range ballistic missiles from the integrated test range in Odisha on 17 July 2025. The tests were carried out under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command and met all technical and operational expectations. These missile tests come two months after the short military conflict between Pakistan and May 7 and May 10. Experts believe that these trials serve to recreate India’s defense preparation after increasing regional tensions.
The PrithVi-II missile, which has been an important part of India’s missile arsenal for years, can reach targets up to 350 kilometers. It can carry a load of 500 kg that can include traditional explosives or nuclear war heads. In the meantime, the AGNI-I missile can hit targets between 700 and 900 kilometers and can carry a heavier load of 1,000 kg. Both missiles are considered to be the vital components of India’s nuclear deterrence strategy.
This test ignition comes right after another great success-the raised air defense system of the Hint Army, Akash Prime, has destroyed two rapidly moving air targets under high altitude conditions in Ladakh. Akash Prime is specially designed to work at heights above 4,500 meters and comes with the latest domestic upgrades, including a new radio frequency vehicle.
According to the Ministry of Defense, these achievements reflect how user feedback helps to develop home weapons. The success of systems such as Akash Prime increases India’s ability to develop reliable defense technology on its own after its strong performances during Sindoor operation.
Together, this in a consecutive defense milestone stones represent an important leap in India’s missiles and air defense capabilities, and India attracts international attention as it becomes a stronger player in the global defense market.
