A man who flew to some of Britain’s most remote islands has claimed some of the beaches are similar to those in the Caribbean.
YouTuber Wendall, who shares his channel with the same name on the video platform, flew to the Isles of Scilly. The Isles of Scilly consist of five inhabited islands, including St Mary’s, Tresco, St Martin’s, Bryher and St Agnes.
The Isles of Scilly are a small group of islands just off the coast of Cornwall, England, and have long been recognized as a place of great interest and cultural significance to the United Kingdom.
Wendall, who was touring the region on a boat, asked the driver of one of the boats about the quality of the beaches. He noted: “I hear St Martin has the most beautiful beaches.”
In response, the person driving the boat said: “They have beautiful golden sandy beaches, yes. Beautiful golden sandy beaches.” Wendall later added: “Caribbean-like.”

Wendall is not the first to comment on the beaches of the Isles of Scilly; Tresco’s beaches at Pentle Bay also receive praise.
GO Outdoors experts recently went so far as to name those at Pentle Bay as one of the best places to visit this Spring due to temperatures of around 10C and around 7.2 hours of sunshine per day.
This is also reflected in some of the Google Reviews the beach has received, including one person who said it was “one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.” Another said it was a “mini paradise” and a “special gem.”
Speaking about it, GO Outdoors writer Calum Jones said: “As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, spring is the perfect time to explore the UK’s stunning coastlines.
“From Druridge Bay Beach in the North East to Imeridge Bay in the South West, there are breathtaking beaches to discover all over the country.”
However, this isn’t the first time beaches in this part of the UK have been named; The beaches in Cornwall also receive many accolades, including Kynance Cove.

The beaches a short drive from Falmouth have been compared to beaches halfway around the world in New South Wales, Australia.
After examining some of the UK’s best beaches, a study carried out by Parkdean Resorts concluded that Kynance Cove is the whitest beach in the UK.
They explained: “Topping the list as the UK’s whitest beach is Kynance Bay in Cornwall. This Cornish bay has powder-soft sand made up primarily of quartz, giving the beach a sparkling, white appearance. “This stunning spot gives even Australia’s iconic coastline a run for its money.”
