U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released photos of four alleged agitators arrested Friday during ongoing protests outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis.

The arrests occurred Thursday after the men repeatedly refused orders to disperse, ICE said in a post on X. Four people were taken into custody and charged with federal charges, authorities said.

“Yesterday, law enforcement at the Whipple Federal Building was confronted by violent anti-ICE agitators who threw objects, shouted profanities, and endangered the public by pouring water on roads to create icy, dangerous conditions,” ICE wrote to X. “After repeated warnings, 4 agitators were arrested and charged with federal charges because they refused to disperse.”

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the arrests came amid overnight protests that resulted in 12 people being detained for assaulting law enforcement.

“Last night, 12 anti-ICE agitators were arrested in Minneapolis for assaulting law enforcement,” DHS wrote to X early Friday. “Reminder: It is a federal offense and a CRIME for you to touch law enforcement or damage federal property.”

It was not immediately clear whether the four people ICE pointed to were among the 12 arrested overnight.

Protests continued Friday and crowds gathered again in front of the Whipple Federal Building, according to local media FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. paul.

The building houses many federal agencies, including ICE, DHS and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The ongoing unrest follows two recent ICE-related shootings in Minneapolis.

One of them was Renee Nicole Good, a U.S. citizen who was fatally shot by an ICE agent on January 7. The officer shot at the driver’s windshield and opened the window from the side of the vehicle and then shouted “f—ing b—-” as the car crashed into another parked car.

Democrats and local residents condemned the attack as murder and called for the agent to be prosecuted, while the Trump administration and Republican lawmakers defended the incident, saying it was a justified shooting.

In a separate incident Wednesday, an ICE officer was allegedly seriously injured after being ambushed by three illegal immigrants during a traffic stop, according to federal officials. A stop targeting a Venezuelan illegal immigrant escalated into a foot chase, violent struggle and gunfire. One suspect was shot and all three were taken into custody, authorities said.
