In a fresh attack, Rohini Acharya alleges RJD is on the brink of ruin

Two days after Tejashwi Yadav’s appointment as National Working President of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya made a fresh attack on the leadership on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

In his post ‘X’, he alleged that the person entrusted with the responsibility, along with the import guru and the guru’s followers, had destroyed decades of struggle and efforts of every dedicated Lalu loyalist and brought the party to the brink of destruction.

In fact, on Sunday, January 25, hours before the RJD national executive meeting, he had alleged that control of the party had fallen into the hands of “infiltrators and conspirators whose sole aim is to destroy Laluvad”.

Soon after Mr. Yadav’s elevation in the party, he congratulated his younger brother in a sarcastic post directed at X, saying, “Congratulations on the coronation of the prince who has become a puppet of the infiltration gang.”

In today’s post, again without naming anyone, “Who did what for Lalu ji and the party?” he said. This is evident from the Lok Sabha elections, the last Assembly election results and the current state of the party. “The questions have been asked before, they are being asked today, and they will continue to be asked in the future.”

He also said, “If there is moral courage, then it is necessary to muster the courage to confront these questions on an open platform. Who is distributing information, who is avoiding the facts while talking about giving information, this will become clear.”

He asked that today every true worker, supporter and well-wisher of the party took Lalu ji aside and asked what these lowly people who have been made exalted have done for the party.

Ms. Acharya also asked in her post why the review report has not been made public yet and why no action has been taken so far against those against whom questions were asked in the review meeting.

Soon after returning from his European trip, Mr. Yadav held a review meeting with senior leaders of the party.

This isn’t the first time he’s been harsh towards his own family members. He’s been doing this over and over again for the last two months. A few days ago, he criticized his family members for allegedly destroying an inheritance and claimed that no outsider was needed for this.

He claimed that attempts were being made to “erase the traces of those who gave identity and existence to the heritage.”

Ms. Acharya wrote on social media platform ‘X’ on January 10, 2026: “There is no need for outsiders to destroy the ‘great legacy’ created and established with such intense effort; a few ‘newly acquired’ intrigues between ‘our’ and our loved ones are enough.”

Ms. Acharya, who has settled in Singapore, was in Bihar during the assembly elections and had announced that she would quit politics following the RJD debacle and had also disowned her family.

He came to the fore by donating his kidney to his father, who suffered from many diseases. She is married to Rao Samresh Singh and has two sons and a daughter.
