India records best monsoon in 5 years, core agricultural zones receive 122% rainfall

The Air Office added that all India’s summer monsoon rainfall is the fifth highest since 2001 and the highest since 1901 is 937.2 mm.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this year’s early arrival, then good rainfall activity, farmers, such as rice, pulse and sugar cane help to increase the planting of Kharif crops.
A better harvest and stronger agricultural production will mean lower food inflation, which was already narrowed to 0.7% in August.
This year, the Southwest Muson proceeded at the Southern Andaman Sea and Nicobar Islands on May 13, about nine days before the normal program. On May 24, he came to Kerala before the ordinary start date of June 1 and handled the whole country until 29 June until the normal date of 8 July.
Southwest Monsoon provides approximately 70% of India’s annual rain and is vital for the agricultural sector that supports more than half of the population of 1.4 billion. Adequate rain will help reduce the crop output and food prices in the country where most agricultural lands are fed by rain. This year, it has suffered a lot of rainfall from two sub -sections, which cover 10% of the total area of the country. Twelve subsections, which make up 35% of the region, received more precipitation, while 19 sub -section representing 46%, recorded normal rainfall according to IMD. Three sub -section – Arunaçal Pradesh, Assam and Meghala and Bihar – 9% of the total area, experienced insufficient rainfall during the season.
Monsoon withdrawal began on September 14 from West Rajasthan and proceeded for 3 days. However, the withdrawal of the monsoon will stop at least one more week.
