Iranians gather in Tehran following ceasefire announcement

After the USA and Iran declared a two-week conditional ceasefire, the crowds gathered in Tehran waved flags and chanted slogans.

Iran agreed to allow ships safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz if the United States stops its attacks.

The ceasefire came more than a month after Israel and the United States launched attacks on Iran, which led to Iran striking sites in the Gulf.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mediated the negotiations, saying the ceasefire came into effect immediately.
