Ireland rout India in T20 series with thrilling one-run win

Ireland clinched their first series win over India as Jai Moondra and Matthew Hollard dismantled the reigning Twenty20 World Cup winners’ batting line-up with a three-wicket haul to secure a razor-thin one-run win in Belfast on Sunday.

India, who lost for the first time to Ireland in the first T20 match on Friday, could only manage a score of 153-9 after the home team batted first and scored 154-8.

The loss was India’s first T20 bilateral series defeat since 2023 and the first time they have been defeated in the 20-over format since 2019.
