Vice President JD Vance was surprised to see how the women of “The View” treated him.
Vance stopped by “The View” on Tuesday as he begins his book tour this week for his spiritual memoir “Community: Finding My Way Back to Faith.”
Vance said, “Gutfeld!” “I expected them to be absolutely malevolent, and they were just a little bit evil. It wasn’t as bad as I thought,” he said on his show. Tuesday.
“Joy Behar said during the break, no joke: ‘You know what? You’re doing pretty good for a Republican.’ And I said, ‘Wow.’ “This is a much better compliment than I expected from Joy Behar,” he continued.

But it wasn’t all sunny weather for Vance’s debut on ABC’s daytime talk show.

Vance was likely referring to an exchange he had with co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who criticized him for allegations that the Trump administration had watered down or removed exhibits on Black history at various museums; Vance disputes this claim.
She and “The View” co-hosts have clashed over a variety of issues, including President Donald Trump’s recent comments on inflation and immigration.

Speaking to Fox News Digital before his appearance on “The View,” Vance was hopeful of having a productive conversation with the liberal ladies.
“It may be the optimist in me, but I basically think that most people — not everyone, but most people — even if I don’t agree with them, you should try to have a conversation with them,” Vance said in a sit-down interview with Fox News Digital on Monday.
“We’ll go and try to have a nice chat. I hope they meet me halfway. I’m a little skeptical, but we’ll see,” he added.
