Dodgers catcher Will Smith hit the game-winning home run in the 11th inning as Toronto beat the Blue Jays despite trailing 3-0 and 4-2 early in the game. Los Angeles took the lead for the first time in this match.

Smith’s heroics came when teammate Miguel Rojas tied the score with his own home run in the ninth inning and center fielder Andy Pages made a backhand catch that hit left fielder Kiké Hernández and bounced toward the wall. Had Pages not caught the ball, the base-loaded Blue Jays might have won the game and the series.

Bo Bichette put Toronto ahead in the third inning on a three-run homer off two-way star Shohei Ohtani, who was resting for three days after taking the loss in Game 3.

Los Angeles pulled to within 3-2 on sacrifice flies by Teoscar Hernández in the fourth, scoring runs by Max Scherzer and Tommy Edman off Chris Bassitt in the sixth.

Andrés Giménez restored Toronto’s two-run lead with an RBI double in the sixth inning off Tyler Glasnow, who came in relief after getting the final three outs on three pitches to save the sixth game on Friday.
