Katie Price says she has given up the search for her ‘kidnapped’ husband Lee Andrews and will no longer talk about it a week after his disappearance.

The former glamor model, 47, made the announcement on a recent podcast episode in which she had to cut it short to answer a phone call from the police.

During the video, Katie said she would not let the disappearance of Lee, 43, ‘ruin her life’ following reports that she had been ‘ghosted’ by her husband.

Katie, who married Lee in January after a whirlwind 10-day romance, revealed her devastation over the weekend when she revealed Lee had been missing since Wednesday.

The mum-of-five initially pleaded with her followers to help her search for Lee, but Katie said she would now step back ‘for her own sanity’.

Katie said she feared she had been kidnapped after a series of garbled messages from Lee in which he said he was handcuffed and put into a van before ‘going into the dark’.

In its last episode Katie Price Show He said on the podcast that he now ‘leaves it to the police’.

He said: ‘There’s nothing I can do, there’s nothing else I can say. And the police are dealing with it. I leave that only to the police.

Katie Price says she has given up the search for her ‘kidnapped’ husband Lee Andrews and will no longer talk about it a week after he first disappeared.

‘I’m not going to talk about this anymore, I’m just staying quiet because things are getting ridiculous now, people are getting on the nerves of everything.’

Katie added: ‘The police are dealing with this at the moment, the British police, the British consulate, the foreign office and Interpol are all involved in the search for Lee.

‘All I can do is move on with my life. I have a lot of exciting things ahead of me and I’m waiting for a call. What am I going to do, sit here and cry and do nothing, stay in bed?’

He also said: ‘I’m stepping back for my own sanity.’

Katie continued: After the latest strange development in her forced marriage, she no longer knows what to believe.

As suspicions grow over the motive behind his sudden disappearance, Katie says even she doesn’t know what’s right after relentlessly defending her beleaguered husband against an army of critics.

He said: ‘There’s only one person I have to look after, and that’s myself. I still have to work, exciting things are happening, but in terms of my mental health… I don’t know what’s right and what’s not right. I’m like this now, I don’t know.

‘Like I said, my tentacles are up now, my antennae are up and I’ve decided to take a step back from it all, take things my own way and get on with my life and whatever will be, will be.’

Katie also shared a series of posts about ‘focusing on herself’ a week after her husband disappeared in the back of a van.

He posted numerous cryptic messages, including one about ‘knowing your value’, but did not explain further about the posts.

Just yesterday Katie uploaded a new vlog imploring her fans and media to help her find her ‘kidnapped’ husband, who first went missing last Wednesday.

Katie said she believed Lee had been kidnapped after she ‘went dark’ mid-conversation last week after he told her he had been arrested.

But just hours after her latest emotional video about Lee’s disappearance, Katie re-posted a statement saying she was ‘forced to accept a situation’.

The post read: ‘Sometimes you just have to accept the situation and say it’s okay, it happens, that’s life.’

Another said: ‘Focus on yourself, because nothing is more powerful than a woman who knows her worth, pursues her goals and dares to dream big.’

Katie captioned the message: ‘Boom’.

He also stated that he felt ‘overwhelmed’ amid the stress surrounding Lee’s disappearance, suggesting that he had been pushed to his limits.

The post he shared read: ‘I’m not depressed because I can’t deal with this. I’m overwhelmed because I’m handling this. All. ‘All this time.’

Former The Apprentice star Luisa Zissman, 38, claimed she saw Lee ‘active’ online as she began a ‘manhunt’ to find the missing ‘businessman’.

However, Katie claimed on her Instagram stories later in the evening that it was actually she who had hacked into Lee’s profile.

Alongside a screenshot of his page, he wrote: ‘I have Lee’s Facebook. It’s not him on this, it’s me.” The post was later deleted.

The situation resembles a crime drama, with a new report claiming Lee ‘bragged about being an arms dealer who worked with dangerous people’ in the weeks before his mysterious disappearance.

The self-titled businessman, who married Katie in January after a whirlwind 10-day romance, has been accused by insiders of ‘writing a story’.

The troubled glamor model last spoke to her husband at 10pm on Wednesday last week as he tried to board a flight from Dubai to the UK.

‘Lee said he had many businesses, one of which was international arms dealing. A source said he was really proud of it. Sun.

‘He repeatedly boasted to anyone who cared to listen that he was working with dangerous people. He brags about it and then gets kidnapped. ‘It’s like writing a story.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Katie’s rep for comment at the time of publication.

Katie said she believed Lee had been kidnapped after he ‘went dark’ in the middle of last week’s conversation.

The model posted her last communication with Lee, hoping it would help track down Lee.

In the messages sent from 12.36 to 01.01 Dubai time last Thursday morning, the so-called ‘businessman’ told him: ‘He has been arrested. I will contact you. I’m fine xx.’

Trying to get more details, Katie asked him within five minutes: ‘Where is he? From where? “I’m worried,” she said, and told her husband she loved him.

Lee later explained that he did not know where he was taken because they had his ‘other phone’.

Katie asked: ‘How do I reach you if they take your phone? ‘Should I get your father’s number?’

Lee shared his live location and told him to contact the embassy and that he had been taken to a ‘black site’.

The Sun also reported that he gave Katie his father’s number as his emergency contact.

The livestream then ended with the message: ‘Keep it up baby. I love you’.

Lee later backtracked on his claims of being arrested as he told Katie: ‘It’s a black site, I love you, I’ll handle it. I’m in the minibus… I’m just being detained, unfortunately.’

A friend said Sun: ‘As you can imagine, Katie goes completely spiraling. This is NOT a publicity stunt – as if she needs more PR – and no matter what Lee has or hasn’t done, she still loves him.

‘These WhatsApps prove that he was as blind as the rest of us to Lee’s movements. Whatever ‘he’ is, he’s not involved.

‘He is appealing for anyone with information to contact him or the police with any information that could help them find him.’

They added that Lee wanted to know he was safe and then could start ‘asking him some serious questions’.

Meanwhile, Lee’s mother, Trisha, 61, gave her first interview since his disappearance.

The psychic medium said the family was concerned about her well-being following her disappearance last week.

Asked if he believed Katie’s theory that she had been kidnapped, he said: ‘I don’t know, it could have been that way. I didn’t see the video.

‘I don’t know the laws there but I didn’t think they would use cable. Wouldn’t they wear handcuffs?’

Trisha added that she thought Katie was ‘exploiting’ the situation on social media, but after her daughter spoke to the television personality, she could see how worried she was.

A friend of Lee’s mother added: ‘No one knows where Lee is going’ and she just wants him to be okay.

This comes after the publication reported that Lee had not been kidnapped as Katie had feared, and was instead holed up in a run-down villa in Dubai.

He is said to have only been speaking to a few of his trusted networks over the burner phone and ‘frantically plotting a way out of this giant hole he’s buried himself in’.
