Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal On Monday, April 13, 2026, Justice Swarna Kanta of the Delhi High Court urged Sharma to recuse herself from hearing the CBI’s appeal in the excise policy case, arguing that a “genuine, serious and reasonable apprehension of bias” existed in her mind and that she may not get a fair hearing.
The Center opposed the defense, calling the allegations “insulting” and pressed for the dismissal application to be dismissed with costs.
