Iran threatens to launch missiles and block Hormuz Strait | World | News

Iran threatened to restart missile attacks and close the Strait of Hormuz as it withdrew from a peace meeting with the United States in Switzerland.
According to local Iranian media, the country has threatened to cancel all upcoming negotiations despite signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) just yesterday.
Iran warned that it would close the Strait again and respond with missiles to this situation, which it described as a direct violation of the first article of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding.
The move comes as Israel maintains a military presence in southern Lebanon despite its first-article pledge to end the war.
It arrives less than 24 hours after the MOU was electronically signed.
The first round of technical talks was due to begin this Friday between Vance and Ghalibaf in Geneva, but no trip has been confirmed.
After the signing, both sides were supposed to engage in discussions to resolve the most important issues.
Negotiations may continue in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, but they will be limited and there may be a return to the old platform of negotiations.
Iranian local media claimed that the country rejected any tricks from Trump that Netanyahu was a fraud.
President Trump warned leaders in Tehran to abide by the agreement or the United States will restart the war and continue to destroy the Islamic Republic.
“If they violate the agreement, we will beat them to hell,” Trump said.
The deal has been widely criticized since it was announced, with the country’s leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, saying Trump made the deal “out of desperation.”
The leader added that he was committed to the memorandum of understanding to protect the rights of the nation at that time.
