Leopard Spotted in Khanapur Forest Near Narsampet

-Warangal: Forest officials were alerted following reports of a leopard moving along the edges of the Khanapur forest range near Narsampet in Warangal district.
Officials said villagers first spotted the wild animal two days ago when it was passing through palm oil plantations near Khanapur. They immediately informed the forest department.
Forest officials visited the area and confirmed the presence of the leopard. Since then, they have intensified their control in the region. The animal’s movements were recorded on security cameras installed by the forest department.
Authorities believe the leopard may have returned to the nearby forest. However, they warned people in surrounding villages to be careful as the wild animal might return. Residents of surrounding villages were advised not to enter forest areas.
District collector Nangunoori Ramesh appealed to the public to be careful and strictly follow the advisories issued by the authorities until the situation returns to normal.
