Licensed Surveyors Continue Protest, Press for ₹30,000 Salary and Job Security in Telangana

Weeks after protesting at Survey Bhavan in Narayanguda on June 23, licensed surveyors in Telangana continue to demand fixed monthly salaries and job security, but there is no decision yet from the state government.

Members of the Telangana Revenue Licensed Surveyors Association reiterated that around 6,500 surveyors across the state lack job security despite being officially licensed. They said their previous agitation, which included laying siege to Survey Bhavan, did not yield any concrete assurance.

Association leaders, including state president Nagar Ramesh and general secretary Kommu Shekhar, argued that working on commission basis was not sustainable and demanded a minimum monthly salary of ₹30,000 along with official recognition and job protection.

Pollsters also expressed disappointment that employment-related concerns were not addressed despite the licenses being issued in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The association, whose demands are still pending, stated that it may intensify the protests in the coming days if the government does not initiate dialogue or provide a clear road map to solve the problems.
