Police swarm Post Office as man vanishes in ‘suspicious circumstances’ | UK | News

The community is in a state of panic as police vehicles flock to the Post Office branch after a man disappears.
Police are investigating “suspicious circumstances” after a man disappeared from a Post Office in Bootle, Liverpool. Photos taken from outside the store show broken glass from the damaged front door strewn across the floor.
Merseyside Police said officers were called to the branch in Park Lane at around 6.30am following reports of concerns for the safety of a man at the premises.
While police teams worked to determine what happened and search for the missing person, a cordon was established around the building. Shattered glass can be seen inside the cordon and the bottom panel of the Post Office door is completely shattered on the ground.
Forensic officers arrived at the scene, repeatedly entering and exiting the Park Lane store, located in an area known locally as the Dodge Estate.
While local residents gathered near the cordon, the neighboring Park Lane Market also closed. Other stores are still open during the parade.
Speaking about the missing man, one resident said: “He is a warrior, a very beautiful person. I go there every morning.”
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “We were called to a report of suspicious circumstances in Bootle on Friday morning, October 31.
