M5 traffic LIVE: Major motorway ‘blocked’ as crash sparks closure of all lanes northbound | UK | News

Motorists on the M5 motorway faced long delays this morning after a crash on the northbound carriageway caused all lanes to be closed. The collision, which involved a single car, caused traffic jams and queues between Junction 14 at Thornbury and Junction 13 at Stroud.

Emergency services and National Highways are currently at the scene and working to make the scene safe after the vehicle left the road. Traffic monitoring site Inrix added: “M5 Northbound disrupted traffic stop due to accident, a vehicle leaving the carriageway from J14 B4509 (Thornbury / Falfield) to J13 A419 (Stroud). In progress since 5.40am this morning.”
