Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro will be behind bars in the same prison where Diddy and Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as other high-profile defendants, are housed while awaiting trial.
A source speaking to Fox News said that Maduro will be detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after the Venezuelan leader was captured in a “fortress”-like house during an early morning operation by US forces in this South American country. Maduro was charged with narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of a machine gun and destructive device, and conspiracy to possess a machine gun and destructive device against the United States. His wife and son are also among the defendants in the indictment.
MDC Brooklyn also detained other high-profile inmates while awaiting trial, including Ghislaine Maxwell, Sam Bankman Fried, and Michael Cohen.
It is noteworthy that Maduro will be staying at MDC Brooklyn at the same time as Luigi Mangione, who is awaiting trial for allegedly assassinating UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Judi Garrett, former deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, told Fox News Digital that she expects Maduro to be held in the Special Housing Unit when MDC arrives in Brooklyn.
“I would wait [Maduro] will be arranged [a Special Housing Unit] Initially, he was later moved to one of the “special” units where other high-profile people were held, Garrett said.
MDC Brooklyn has “significant experience with high-profile defendants,” Garrett said.

During an interview on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” President Donald Trump said Maduro was “attacked very quickly” by American special forces.
“We waited four days. We were going to do this four days ago, three days ago, two days ago. Then all of a sudden the door opened and we said ‘go,'” Trump said, adding that Maduro was in a “very well-guarded” house.

“He was in a house that looked more like a castle than a house. It had steel doors. There was a place they called the security area, there was solid steel everywhere. He didn’t close that area. He was trying to get in, but he became a bum so quickly he couldn’t get in there,” Trump said. “We were prepared. You know, we had giant blowtorches and everything you needed to get through that steel. But we didn’t need it. It couldn’t reach that area of the house.”
