Man, 20, ‘trapped against wall’ after ‘car deliberately driven at him’ outside Co-op | UK | News

A man is trying to recover from life-changing injuries after being “deliberately driven over” and “stuck in a wall”, according to police. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the alleged incident, which officers say took place outside a Co-op supermarket in Fircroft Road, Ipswich, just before 10pm on Friday.
The Suffolk Police Department said the reported collision occurred following an alleged earlier argument between the 20-year-old victim and the driver and passenger of a white Volkswagen Polo. The vehicle was then reportedly “deliberately” driven into the victim, pinning him against the wall.
Officers said the driver and passenger then abandoned the car and fled on foot, and all parties are believed to know each other.
The 20-year-old victim suffered a life-changing open leg fracture and remained in hospital in a stable condition.
The two men, both 20, were detained on suspicion of attempted murder shortly after the collision.
Two other men, also aged 20, were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A and B drugs with intent to supply.
Suffolk Constabulary said: “The four men were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Center where they were questioned by detectives. Police were present at the scene but the road has now been reopened.”
