Man broke police officer’s nose in airport attack, court hears

“Both defendants attacked PC Marsen. In the following moments, the first defendant attacked PC Cook and then PC Ward by breaking his nose. The defendants used high violence.”

Mr. Greaney said the defendants went to the airport with their young nephews to gather their mothers who had to return to a flight from Qatar.
The prosecutor said: “A man named Abdulkarem Ismaeil was at the same flight as the mother of the defendants. He was traveling with his wife and three young children.
“Shortly after the flight and/or descent, there was something between the mother of the defendants and Abdulkarem Ismaeil, who was unhappy with the defendant’s mother.
“The defendants met their mothers in the arrival area of the Terminal 2 and started walking with the child with him. They passed a Starbucks coffee house as they did.
“Abdulkarem was there with his wife and children. He identified Abdulkarem Ismaeil, the mother of the defendants, and pointed to her sons.
“Immediately after 20.00, the defendants entered Starbucks and confronted Abdulkarem Ismaeil. During this conflict, Muhammad Fahir, but he handed a headbutt to Abdulkarem Ismaeil’s face and then tried to deliver other coups in front of the children.
“The prosecution case is clearly illegal behaviors.”
