Man dies in suspicious fire, two left fighting for life
A man has died and two others have life-threatening injuries following a suspicious house fire in Brisbane’s south overnight.
Emergency crews were called to the burning house on Orak Boulevard on Hope Island around 11:45 pm on Tuesday.
A 38-year-old man was found dead in his home.
Two other men, aged 44 and 84, also suffered life-threatening burns and were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
A 59-year-old woman was also injured and taken to the same hospital, while a 38-year-old man escaped uninjured.
Police consider the fire suspicious.
While investigations at the scene continue, police asked anyone who witnessed the fire or has more information to come forward.
