Man rushed to hospital with serious injuries after alleged horror attack on busy Melbourne CBD street

A man remains in a serious condition after an attack in broad daylight on a busy Melbourne street.

Emergency services attended to a man with serious injuries on Collins Street, near the junction with Elizabeth Street, at around 2.10pm.

The 37-year-old Mill Park man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with a serious upper-body injury.

A Victoria Police spokesman said it was not yet clear how the man sustained his injuries while investigations were ongoing.
