Mastodon rocker Brent Hinds dead at 51 after horror Atlanta motorcycle crash
Grammy Winning Heavy Metal band Mastodon’s former singer guitarist Brent Hinds died in a motorcycle accident in Atlanta at the age of 51.
Hinds, who left Mastodon 25 years later in March 2025, was killed on Wednesday, when Harley-Davidson collided with BMW SUV at 23.35. Atlanta News FirsT.
The Atlanta Police Department said in a report that the SUV driver could not give when making a return – Hinds found ‘unresponsive’ at the scene and was later paid by medical officials.

Mastodon received three albums to the top 10 of Billboard 200 graph and Rock album graph in 2017 and Sun The Sun in 2014.
Hinds founded Mastodon in 2000 with Bassist Troy Sanders, Guitarist Bill Kelli and Drummer Brann Dailor.
Mastodon’s third studio album, 2006’s Blood Mountain, reached the first 40 to the top 40 and peaked to the number 32 on Billboard 200.
Hinds left the group in March 2025. No reason was given for the departure. The group said that they decided to be mutually divided into roads, but the comments made by Hinds on Instagram showed that there was a rocky relationship with the members of the old group.
