Tsunami drill in Cuddalore to assess crisis management system and response on September 4

In the event of a tsunami, a tsunami exercise will be held in the Cuddalore region on 4 September to evaluate the crisis management system and the response of various departments.

According to the collector Sibi Adhithia Senthil Kumar, the exercise will be held in the village of Sothikuppam in Cuddalore, Bhuvanagiri block parangipettai and Chidambaram block in Killlai 8 to 10 in the morning.

The program is carried out with the active participation of the regional administration, disaster management agencies and various line departments.

Kumar said that residents should not panic during a false exercise.
