Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey dismisses ICE shooting video of Renee Good

Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey shrugged off the new revelation Friday of cellphone video taken by a federal agent of the shooting that killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good.

Alpha News was first to obtain video showing a tense conversation between a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent and Good, who was shot and killed while standing in front of him behind the wheel of his car. Also seen in the video is Good’s wife, who is seen taunting the agent from outside the vehicle.

In a report on ABC’s “World News Tonight” on Friday, Frey was shown the video by reporter Whit Johnson but appeared unimpressed.

Frey reacted by saying, “He jumped away from the incident. There is another person who died. He held his cell phone. I think that’s clear enough.”

“Does this video, this angle, change your perspective on what might have happened?” asked Johnson.

“I think an investigation might change or confirm my perspective,” Frey said. “But we [all got] I can see two eyes and one trying to leave. I can see an ICE agent who isn’t run over by a car. That didn’t happen.”

Frey quickly rejected the Trump administration’s claim that the ICE agent acted in self-defense Wednesday, calling it “bulls—” and demanding ICE “get the hell out of Minneapolis.”

The conflict divided the country along partisan lines. Trump administration He accuses Good of trying to ram his vehicle into the ICE agent, and critics say Good tried to reverse his vehicle and the ICE agent used excessive force.

The new footage shows the ICE agent approaching the vehicle and Good telling him, “It’s okay, dude. I’m not mad.”

Seeing the manager approaching, his wife mocked him, “You want to come over? I say go and make yourself lunch, big boy. Go ahead.”

Another agent can be heard repeatedly telling Good to get out of the car. As his wife tries to get into the passenger door, Good gets behind his vehicle and she tells him, “Drive, baby. Drive.”

“Wow,” the agent says as the car moves forward, his cell phone vibrating, before gunshots are heard. Someone is heard saying “F—ing b—-” when the car changes direction before hitting a parked car, which is only heard in the footage.
