Missing North Carolina mom found alive after 24 years reportedly reveals why she left
A North Carolina mother reported lost more than twenty years ago He was recently found alive and reportedly told authorities he abandoned his family due to “ongoing domestic issues.”
Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Michele Hundley Smith, who disappeared in December 2001, was found in North Carolina on Feb. 20 after detectives received new information about her case, police said.
“Let me just say there were no allegations of mistreatment related to his departure,” Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said. People. “But according to Ms. Smith, she said she left due to internal issues going on at the time.”

Of course, I never thought it was… My father has been through a lot and I want that to be made clear. They had problems in their marriage That my mother didn’t leave just because of a bad marriage (just like most marriages). “Everyone has their own opinion, but please remember that my father has been proven innocent.”
A missing persons flyer was circulating at the time of the disappearance of Michele Hundley Smith in December 2001.
Despite years of investigative efforts, Smith’s whereabouts remained unknown until recently, Sgt. A. Disher and Det. C. Worley contacted Smith, “alive and well at an undisclosed location in North Carolina,” after receiving a tip, according to the sheriff’s office.
