Morrisons has issued a recall notice for one of its popular sharing products after it was discovered that some packs contained milk not specified on the label. Some Morrisons Maple & Bacon Back of the Net packs may have been packaged with the wrong product containing milk, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced in a product recall notice on Saturday (27 June).
Affected by product It is 140 grams of Morrisons Maple & Bacon Back of the Net with an expiry date of 22 August 2026. “As this product contains milk, it poses a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk ingredients,” the FSA said. “Morrisons is recalling the above product from customers and has advised its members to contact relevant allergy support organisations, who will notify them of the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they purchase the product.”
A customer notice from Morrisons read: “Morrisons is recalling the product dated 22/08/26 as some packs may contain the wrong product containing milk not stated on the label.
“Please do not eat this product and return it to the nearest store for a full refund. We do not need an invoice. No other products are affected by this issue.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and reassure our customers of our continued commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
Morrisons’ Maple & Bacon Back of the Net is a popular football-themed corn and rice snack. It’s sweet and salty, with a smoky maple-bacon flavor, and its distinctive web-like shapes are a playful nod to the football net.
