Mumbai college students collect 2 tonnes of e-waste, spread awareness among schools

College and school students in Mumbai gathered two tons of e-Atık as part of the driver of the E-Atık Collection, led by the Jai Hind College Dotcom Club in Mumbai.
Eight schools, five colleges and 18 communities participated in initiatives. Among the participants Joseph School, Christ Church, St. There are students from Xavier College, Wilson College, Saboo Siddique College and Anjuman College.
In a press release published by Jai Hind College, “Students, schools, colleges, societies, companies and individuals were collected from 2,000 kilograms (2 tons). All the collected e-Atık was delivered to Greendia Recycling Company for secure and certified e-Atık management.
E-Atık means electrical or electronic devices discarded, including old phones, laptops, charger, batteries and more, which are usually ignored, which creates serious risks to both human health and the environment, releasing dangerous substances into soil, air and water.
