CCTV footage of a man wanted in connection with the deaths of three people at a property in Bedford has been released by Bedfordshire Police. Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, also known as Mark, is thought to have left the country with a British passport from Heathrow Airport on Saturday, July 4. Authorities say he is a British citizen of Zimbabwean origin.
A murder investigation was launched by officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Squad on Tuesday, July 7, after the bodies of a woman and two children were discovered at a property in Great Denham. Official identification has not yet been established, but police believe the bodies are those of his wife Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, known as Zandile, and their daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Lee Martin said: “We are carrying out a number of inquiries as part of this rapid and complex investigation. We understand that Mark Tshuma left the country on Saturday and is currently believed to be in Zimbabwe.”
“We are trying to find and arrest him urgently and will appeal directly to him to surrender.
“Mark, unimaginable harm has been inflicted on those around you, leaving your relatives and friends completely devastated. Criminal investigations know no boundaries. We are actively working with national and international organizations to pursue every possible line of inquiry to find you.
“Please do the right thing, come forward and turn yourself in to local authorities.
“Our thoughts remain with Zandile, Natalie and Nala, as well as everyone who loved and knew them, at this extremely difficult time.”
Anyone with information about Tshuma or who witnessed anything unusual or suspicious in the days leading up to Saturday is asked to contact Bedfordshire Police.
