According to a report from TMZ, the network received another email from the same person who had previously contacted them about the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother. TMZ said it verified the identity of the message by matching the sender’s pseudonym and a previous Bitcoin address used in past communications.
The sender disputed reports that investigators believed the person behind the messages might be a woman, writing: “I’m not the idiot who recently reported the grave site in Mexico.”
The email also repeated earlier claims that multiple people were involved in the kidnapping.

The sender continued: “What it contains is my description of presenting them on a silver platter, a short video of the main man probably on Nancy’s last day, photos of both of them, names, addresses and age.” According to TMZ, the person claimed the phone was hidden somewhere within reach of anyone who knew where to look. The sender said that the password would be provided in exchange for one Bitcoin.
TMZ responded publicly, requesting a single screenshot showing Nancy Guthrie in the alleged images to help verify whether the allegations had any basis in fact.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department declined to comment on the latest allegations, while the FBI said it does not discuss ongoing investigations.
Savannah Guthrie previously told NBC that her family believes two of the many notes taken during the case may be real.
“I think there’s a lot of different notes coming in. And my understanding is that most of them are not real,” Guthrie said. “But I believe the two notes we responded to are genuine.”
