While everyone seems to be worried about the impact of a rising One Nation on the traditional parties on the right, will no one think about the real losers? This sounds like Lachlan Murdoch and his News Corp pals.

For News Corp now in Australia, this is an existential issue. It’s not just voters who are abandoning the Liberals and One Nation Nationals. They are something much more important. They are a business model. Moreover, for the Murdochs they are the business model.

This isn’t the first time the Murdoch family (or Lachlan himself) has seen their sense of power suddenly curtailed by the unpredictable whims of their audience.
